When I try to go to certain webpages internet explorer says it has encountered a problem and has to shutdown. I have tried everything and can't get it to change. What is the problem? Do I need to change a setting?
Problems with IE?microsoft sql server
IE is exteremely unsafe, Firefox is built on IE shell, and its only a bit faster and designed better but basicly the same, the problem is probly that the pages are not supported- even if you have ie6 it could be specific css code, could be spyware viruses, etc.
Opera.com, fastest internet client in the world, current version 8.53 (9.x betas), fastest, safest, amazing, hardly ever laggs, a lot better then IE
If you're not administrator, you can get someone to install it and then copy the data files, put em in an archive and you can then run em, but the M2 (Opera's mail) wont fully work, Opera has a good rss reader too.
I had my opera install data fully in an archive but it has my bookmarks and personal data there and its on my email, so i cant give it to you, i'll probly put a site up later this week or month.... that will have data from many apps.
Hope this helped
Problems with IE?windows themes internet explorer
I get that when the computer needs restarted. Might be a good idea to run a spyware and virus check too.
try to restore windows to an earlier time.. u might need to reinstall explorer
Have you tried Firefox?
http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/
Try using Firefox.
Make sure you have all the latest Windows Updates done on your computer.
Open IE and then click TOOLS, WINDOWS UPDATE.
And follow along with all the steps to install all the latest updates.
ALSO, make sure you seperately run an antivirus scan and adware scan.
go to tools, internet options, advanced, and click on restore defaults, windows may ask you to shut down your pc, click ok.
I would suggest running your anti virus and spyware as well
