What are the signs of liver problems?....ie. damage?

If your a heavy drink this is where it affects the body the most. First off swelling. An enlarged liver is a sure sign that its having a hard time keeping up with filtering. In extreme cases your skin turns a yellowish color and even your eyes can start to turn yellow. This is an indication of cirrohsis of the liver, which sucks. Sharp shooting pain on the right side right below your lower rib. This is a sure sign of inflammation and the possibility of scar tissue, which starts to happen when you drink too much. No energy, fatigue easily. Bad diarrhea allot. People with cirrohsis of the liver have clay colored stool or if there is black coloring in your stool that means internal bleeding higher up. If its reddish and fresh its probably hemorids and has nothing to do with your liver. Chills and fever like symptoms is another sign. Hope this helps...
