Able to sign into email, but Messenger keeps saying "signed out because you have signed in on another computer, or device." Have changed password twice in the last 30 minutes; still no luck...Grrrr
Anyone else having sign-in problems, ie.?microsoft updates
Why can't I connect with SBC Yahoo! Messenger?
For All Applications, All Operating Systems, and All Domains
We're sorry to hear that you're having problems connecting to our servers. Your SBC Yahoo! Messenger connection information may be incorrect. Follow these steps to configure your connection:
Click the "Messenger" menu in SBC Yahoo! Messenger and select "Connection Preferences."
Enable the "Firewall with no proxies" option.
Select the correct Internet connection type and country from the pull-down menus.
Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the window.
SBCYahoo! Messenger will ask you if you want to sign in again with your new proxy settings. Click the "OK" button.
Enter your Yahoo! ID and password and click the "Sign In" button.
The above configuration works in most situations. (However, if you connect in this way, you won't be able to use the Voice feature.) If this configuration doesn't work, follow these steps:
Click the "Messenger" menu in SBC Yahoo! Messenger and select "Connection Preferences."
Enable the "No network detection" option and then click the "OK" button at the bottom of the window.
Yahoo! Messenger will ask you if you want to sign in again with your new proxy settings. Click the "OK" button.
Enter your SBC Yahoo! ID and password and click the "Sign In" button.
If neither of the above options work, you're probably behind a firewall or proxy server that requires you to enter its address. Follow these steps:
Click the "Messenger" menu in SBC Yahoo! Messenger and select "Connection Preferences."
Enable the "Use proxies" option.
Enter your firewall or proxy server's address and port number. Contact your network administrator (if you're at work), or your Internet service provider (if you're at home) to determine the correct firewall and proxy settings.
Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the window.
Yahoo! Messenger will ask you if you want to sign in with your new proxy settings. Click the "OK" button.
Enter your SBC Yahoo! ID and password and click the "Sign In" button.
If you try all of the steps above and SBC Yahoo! Messenger still can't connect, contact your network administrator, Internet Service Provider (ISP), or the person who initially set up your computer to ensure that your firewall and/or proxy settings are correct.
Anyone else having sign-in problems, ie.?windows server 2003 internet explorer
No problems signing in, just problems staying connected.
no maybe it is the program your using or your not doing it correctly !!!!!!!
Go to tools, internet options, and click delete cookies.
You are welcome.
I have had exactly the same problem. I have changed my password for no reason three or four times. I have a real
problem because I have been told I have signed in on another computer. I didn't lose my original password at all. It just wouldn't sign me in using that password or the two that I had to change. I need Yahoo messenger to keep in touch with friends. I need it today not 24 hours from now.
same problem...i don't even know if i can remember the password i changed to...i can sign in with another account...but not one of them....frustrating
